What is Yoga?

Yoga is a way of life, mainly considered as a set of techniques useful for achieving mental peace and body health. The main aim of Yoga is to help us to prevent and treat. But the goal of yoga was different when it came to be known more than three thousand years ago. Throughout its history yoga seems to have undergone changes regarding the purpose for which it was formed. Yoga promotes peace, knowledge and happiness. Through regular practice, yoga asanans are effective in controlling disease like Arthritis, Diabetes, Back pain, Asthma, Obesity, Stress management, Blood pressure etc.

During the Kalari classes, the students will closely interact with our experienced and dedicated teachers and staff who are professionally trained in advanced Yoga. A strict diet, daily personal practice of yoga and meditation are followed at the Kalari.Moreover a number of Indian fighting styles especially Kalaripayattu remain closely linked to yoga. Many of Kalari postures are closely related to Yoga postures. More than conducting classes our aim is to propagate the goodness of Yoga among people which will help in improving the quality of each individual.
